AMMROC innovates Oracle Super Cluster

AMMROCAMMROC, the Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin, has implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (cMRO) services on Oracle Super Cluster.

The company provides military maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to UAE armed forces and other military operators across South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Oracle cMRO is both an aircraft maintenance application for transportation and defense operations, and an MRO service application for aerospace and defense manufacturers.

The solution is designed to enable accurate and responsive collaboration among all parties involved in air fleet maintenance. It caters to issues related to supply and demand of spare parts including stock outs, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, and high inventory carrying cost for companies.

The company considers the implementation a milestone, as it was executed within 28 days.

Tom Pegrume, Vice President, Systems, Oracle MEA said, ““Completing a set-up and implementation of such a complex project within one and a half months was a remarkable achievement and one of the fastest deployments on Super Cluster. AMMROC’s ability to master complex MRO IT solutions, combined with Oracle’s services of engineered systems, has led to this remarkable success.”

“AMMROC has made substantial investments in Oracle hardware and software with an aim to reduce our turn-around times, and enable faster response to customer needs,” Fahed Al Shamesi, CEO, AMMROC said. “The implementations should also lead to efficient supply chain management at AMMROC via optimised stock and inventory levels and advanced forecasting for material planning. Ultimately, these should facilitate AMMROC’s business expansion,” he added.

The solutions deployed are the cornerstone of an IT infrastructure envisioned by AMMROC that can support a Centre of Excellence, Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park.
